Jones Brown Inc. was founded in 1997. Our mission from the start was simple but ambitious – to become the finest
privately owned insurance brokerage and risk consultants in Canada. Jones Brown was committed from day one
to offer clients dedicated service, prompt response times, tailored products to fit their needs and sound risk
management advice.

Over the past 11 years we feel we have achieved success by establishing and maintaining long-term client
relationships. We have the expertise, financial strength and business partnerships to manage and provide
counsel on virtually any size or type of risk.

Initially, Jones Brown’s consulting practice only represented a small portion of our business in comparison to our
brokerage division. However, as risk and insurance management has become more of a concern and cost centre
for many company executives and board members, our consulting department has grown tremendously. In fact, in
July of 2007 we acquired FN&A Consultants Inc., a specialty risk management consulting firm, to further expand
our expertise in this field.

The response from this addition to Jones Brown has been so significant that we decided earlier this year to
formally market our consulting team’s knowledge and experience. We provide professional, independent,
outsourced risk management and insurance solutions to corporate clients in a wide variety of industries.

In taking this step forward, we believe it is our ethical obligation to communicate to both current and potential
clients that there is absolutely no conflict of interest between our brokerage and consulting divisions. We feel from
a consulting standpoint that it is in the client’s best interest to separate these two services in order for their
organization to receive the most objective recommendations and solutions possible.

Furthermore, we do not hide behind the fact that we have experience as insurance brokers to our clients, actually
we highlight it. In reality, risk and insurance often go hand in hand and because we have a pulse in the market on
a daily basis we are aware of current issues, trends, products, wording disputes and any other matters that may
pose concern to your organization.

So, although jb risk is a new name under which our risk consultants are operating, we assure you that we have
the expertise to ensure your business is prepared during times of uncertainty.
