During the 1990's, Grant was the Team Practice Leader of a large Risk Management Unit in Toronto, and
later went on to become Senior Vice-President and Corporate Secretary, and was a Director for Sedgwick
Group’s Board in Canada. He was the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Director at
Sedgwick where he was responsible for ensuring the ISO9000 standards for quality management
requirements were carefully followed. In addition, Grant was also the individual responsible for Professional
Account Management (client standards) within Canada.
Grant has experience as an outsourced Risk Manager working with Shell Canada on their Oil Sands and
Offshore Projects.
Through the acquisition of Sedgwick by Marsh & McLennan, he became Senior Vice-President and a Team
Leader for Western Canada with Marsh. Prior to joining Jones Brown in August of 2000, Grant was President
of the Risk Managers Group. Grant has a broad and extensive background in risk and insurance
management.
He holds the prestigious CCIB (Canadian Chartered Insurance Brokers) designation, as well as the CRM
designation (Canadian Risk Management Diploma, from the University of Toronto).
